Biography

Seeker small groups are an effective way for spiritual seekers to safely explore what they believe about God.

Garry Poole, author of the book, "Seeker Small Groups," is an innovator in seeker small groups and an outreach strategist. Passionate about reaching lost people for Christ, Garry has been leading seeker small groups for over 25 years. He and his team have assisted thousands of leaders in launching seeker small groups in their own homes, communities and churches. He is also the author of "The Complete Book of Questions," "The Three Habits of Highly Contagious Christians," co-author of "Experiencing the Passion of the Christ," and the primary author of "The Tough Questions" series, a set of seven discussion guides designed for the spiritual seeker. Garry conducts training conferences throughout the world to empower lay and church leaders to utilize this simple and effective method of outreach.

Mary Schaller, an entrepreneur and recent graduate of Fuller Theological seminary, has begun a new ministry in the San Francisco bay area to reach the 93% of the people that don't attend any church. It began as a simple outreach to her unchurched neighbors and friends in her Portola Valley community five years ago, when she began working on her Masters in Divinity.

Although her unbelieving friends regularly declined her invitations to attend her church, they DID accept her invitations to engage in ongoing spiritual conversations in the safe, informal group setting of her living room. She called it the "Tough Questions Group." Many of those friends now have personal relatinship with Jesus Christ as a result of this seeker small group process. As a reslut of her personal experience with this process and two Fuller internships training others to launch this kind of group, Mary is now dedicating her time to equipping and supporting others to launch and facilitate seeker small groups. Her ministry has been made possible through the cooperative efforts and support of several local ministries and churches.
